So I posted a couple of comments on Facebook this morning about that Anonymous Author book that’s “supposedly” a retelling of a story by one author to another about how the other author cheated on her husband and isn’t fond of her kids, etc. (Despite the copyright page clearly stating that it’s fiction.) And people are going batshit now trying to figure out WHO the writer is who cheated.

Seriously?

Keep in mind, I’m in a flare right now, Hubby’s out of town, I’m SERIOUSLY stressed and sleep-deprived. So after posting a couple of “reality check” posts reminding people that it’s likely a gimmick, and FICTION, and nothing more than that, and not to ruin peoples’ reputations on speculating about something that’s FICTION, I posted this bit of what I (and others) thought was harmless, humorous snark, ABOUT MYSELF, and headed out to go help with registration duties for FPE:

mycomment

Duh. OBVIOUSLY, I’m talking about MYSELF, Gidget, Sheldon, I have SIX cats, I have TWO birds, and…once again, MYSELF.

And, OF COURSE, while I’m not home, this comment came in, and fortunately, my readers came to my defense:

fbcomment

And there were more comments defending me (from readers who KNOW me and who GOT the humor). But since she blocked me, who knows if she even saw those comments. So apparently she didn’t know me well enough to know I WAS TALKING ABOUT MYSELF, made herself look like an ass, and…

*sigh* I don’t have the freaking spoons to deal with this.

(For the record? I have fibromyalgia, CFS, arthritis, and a cardiac condition that’s stumping my doctor.)

Next time, don’t fucking embarass yourself by making outraged comments WHEN YOU DON’T KNOW SOMEONE. Had she simply messaged me saying, hey, what was that about? I could have cleared it up for her.

But she showed her ass.

Don’t be an ass.

#outrageissometimesidioticandunwarrantedandmakesyoulooklikeanidiot

And yes, it’s ironic that here I was, posting a WARNING to people NOT to go smearing people’s reputations, and ONE half-cocked person now thinks I’m some horrible person WHEN I WAS POKING FUN AT MYSELF.

Well, guess what? I’m not the one who came out looking like an ass, sweetheart.

I have fibromyalgia, and I don’t know you and I knew you were talking about yourself and it was a joke. Some people’s kids. Hang in there. I love how she said she was going to try to return your books even though she thought it was too late. She read them, you bet it should be too late. Crazy. Hugs

@Jean – ((HUGS)) Thank you! I read that comment and was like, WTAF?? I’m so glad the others jumped in. Figures it happens when I wasn’t home to jump in and shut her down asap.

I knew she obviously didn’t know you or your situation at all! Plus for someone who lives with Lupus she needs to to get the stick out of her a$$. She’s going to have a rough time if she doesn’t. Oh well for her!

Again the world is full of people who are so small minded, and do not think before they talk, or in this case type. They are so quick to throw that stone, they don’t realize that they should never pick one up to begin with. You know you have our support, and I hope you know you can count on us as not only fans, but in a small way friends. Shake it off as another uninformed person who was talking before knowing the details.

If I rolled my eyes any harder at the people of the world, they’d roll out of my little head.

Loved your snark by the way…

I missed this but would have loved to put my two cents in! What an idiot, trying to be nice…is it working yet because I could come up with a million other terms for her!

Wow glad I missed that mess! Some people are…..

PS as a Lupus patient (and RA, CRPS, Fibro) relying on coffee for energy is foolish

Yes I drink coffee but I limit myself to no more that 2 a day (most days I only drink one cup) because the caffeine crash is just like adding fuel to the fire of my exhaustion

There needs to be an IQ test for driving and posting on FB! Seriously, I missed this but I definitely would’ve risen to your defense! 🙂
