Yay, the world didn’t end, so another random contest!

(Did you enter the last contest? You can check to see if you won on that post.)

Whelps, the world obviously didn’t end yesterday. (I scheduled this one in advance on Monday, so hopefully I’m still here! LOL) So, you know what that means, right?

Yep, ANOTHER random contest! (I’m just disgustingly full of holiday cheer this year. Someone should probably get me checked out by a qualified doc…)

You’re playing for a chance to win $10 in Strandbucks. How do you play?

What’s your favorite holiday song? Funny or serious. I happen to love the “12 Pains of Christmas.” (…stringing up the lights…one goes out, they ALL go out…)

I love songs that make me laugh. Sure, the classics are fine to sing with, but what’s the holiday season without Alvin and the Chipmunks? Or Snoopy going up against the Red Baron? I know not everyone’s tastes are as strange eclectic as mine, however.

Make sure to add your holiday favorite(s) to the list. I’ll pick a commenter via random.org to win. Good luck!

  1. My favorite is Last Christmas by Wham!…yes I’m an 80’s child! But on a lighter side one of my other favorites is Porky Pig’s Blue Christmas, man that one just cracks me up everytime I hear it πŸ˜€

  2. You’re a Mean One, Mr Grinch. (From the animated movie) Love the Grinch πŸ˜‰
Makes it even better when my father-in-law sings it. Think of a hardcore, 30 year Marine Corps vet belting it out. It’s hilarious!

  3. This one is nostalgia from one of my fave christmas shows as a kid

Snow/Heat Miser song from Year Without a Santa Clause

    Freddie

  4. Bare Naked Ladies version on Jingle Bells, which gets rock in’ and includes Jingle Bells Batman Smells.

On a side note I loath Christmas Shoes which usually leads to my screeching at the radio asking “who the hell sends a child to the store with not enough friggin money?” I apparently miss the point of it being a sad sappy song. MIT just makes my blood boil.

  5. I have two favorite Christmas songs; Blue Christmas by Elvis Presley and Santa Claus and His Old Lady by Cheech and Chong! I love to listen to Christmas songs but I always start my holidays with my two favorites!

  6. I like ‘santa never made it to Darwin’ though it’s very sad. mostly because it’s not overplayed.

  7. O Holy Night is my all time favorite “nice” carol, but the Redneck 12 Days of Christmas by Jeff Foxworthy is my favorite fun one.

  8. What Child is This. Probably because I’ve always loved Greensleeves.

  9. Santa Claus is Coming To Town. Probably because my hubby plays Santa, and I start singing it the first of November when I start the processing of bleaching his hair white.

  10. so many good ones listed already! while not funny they always make me feel Christmasy inside – I’ll be home for Christmas by Dean Martin & Baby it’s cold outside

  11. I love, love, love Carol of the Bells, in almost all of its forms! No matter the time of year, that song makes me happy!

  12. My favorite Christmas songs are Silent Night by the Temptations, White Christmas by the Drifters, All I Want for Christmas by Mariah Carey and The Christmas Song by Nat King Cole.
