"sick" emoji with thermometer

Hubby and I both ended up with covid. (I think we got it the day we had a doctor appointment because we both started showing symptoms at the same time.) Fortunately, it was a “mild” case and Hubby already had one vaccine does before he started showing symptoms. But let me tell you what.

This shit is NOT “just like the flu.” We both have mild cases and here, two weeks later, it’s still kicking our asses.

Wear your fucking masks properly. Wash your damn hands. And socially distance. You do NOT want this stuff. I literally cannot walk from one end of the house to the other without it wearing me out. And we have no idea what the long-term effects will be once we have “recovered.”

So whatever you have to do to NOT get this shit? Do it. Trust me, you do NOT want it.

Experiencing the devastating impact of COVID-19 firsthand has made it abundantly clear that this virus is nothing like the flu. Even with a supposedly mild case, my husband and I have been battling its effects for two weeks now, and it’s been nothing short of exhausting. The importance of taking precautions cannot be emphasized enough. Wear your masks properly, wash your hands diligently, and maintain social distancing. Trust me when I say that you do not want to contract this virus. The long-term consequences are still uncertain, and the fear of potential lingering effects looms over us. In times like these, it’s crucial to prioritize your health and seek immediate medical attention when necessary. If you require medical assistance, consider visiting a walkin GYN Little Neck to ensure your well-being and receive the care you need. Stay safe and take every precaution to avoid this relentless virus.

Covid suuuucks.
