Well, yesterday as I reported, I tipped the scales at 213.6.

When I got on the scale today (yes, I know I’m only supposed to weigh myself on my weigh-in day) I was at 210. Same time of day, nothing different.

Huh.

The only thing I can figure is because Hubby and I had date night last night, we went out to eat early before we saw a movie at 5 pm, so maybe eating early helped. I don’t know, as long as it keeps sliding in that direction. That and the exercise I’m doing.

Worked out again today (by the way, if I forgot to mention it yesterday, I DESPISE exercise, which just goes to show how much I want to get this weight off and keep it off) and stopped by GNC on my way home and picked up a couple of extra supplements. My metabolism needs all the help it can get, believe me. I’ve been checked for thyroid issues before, but I’m going to ask the doctor to check again tomorrow when I go in for my check-up just to make sure.

Believe me, I’m NOT complaining about that scale number. I just hope it’s not a fluke. I’ve been tracking my points online at WeightWatchers.com (I do online, not the meetings). Every time I start to mentally whine I think about my blue sticky notes on my wall. I’m looking forward to being able to change the number on the lower sticky note to a lower weight.

This afternoon, I get to go skeet shooting (almost wrote sheet skooting! LOL) with Sir and some friends. I’ve never been skeet shooting before, but it’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. (I love guns, was raised with guns. I know, I’m a hippy liberal Pagan chick who believes in the 2nd amendment. So sue me. LOL) Hubby is NOT a gun fan and said, “Go have fun.” LOL (That’s why he’s the World’s Best Husband(TM).) So I’m trying to wrap up a few things I have to do this afternoon so I can go have fun. 🙂

Huh? Hmm.

That’s awesome, Lesli. Sis was a life-time member for 10 years until her hubbs was diagnosed with cancer. Two years later she was tipping the scales at nearly 200 (5’5″) when he passed away. She restarted a month and a half ago, and I started three weeks ago with at start weight of 204, a lifetime high. I’m 5’8″. I like the new plan, especially the Power start. I really understand it and I never go hungry. What’s not to like about that? It’s comin’ off and it’s stayin’ off.

I take my hat off to you with the way you’re going at your weight loss efforts. I had no willpower to do it that way, and I let it go until it was life or death, I was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension – it was lose a lot of weight fast or die. I weighed 302 lbs at that time. I had the surgery to lose weight and so far I’ve lost 148 lbs – and can still lose more. I wish I’d done it your way, so I could have a rounded diet. I barely eat anything, surviving mostly on yogurt and 1% milk. I miss all the many foods I’m no longer allowed or able to digest. My hat’s off to you and I’ll say a little prayer for your continued success.

I was just thinking about starting a weekly blog report on my weight as well! And I hate exercising too! And I love skeet shooting, so I hope you had fun!

I am about 180 and my doctor told me to loose 5 lbs by my 3 month check up. I have been seriously watching what I eat. I might have to do the weight watchers online. My C5 vertebrae is in the early stages of degeneration so I can’t do compression exercises, so things have been going slowly. But wahoo on the 3.6 lbs! I’ll be thinking of you with hugs and thumbs up!!!

You go Girl! I am sure so many of us are in the same position as you. I dont know weight on lbs. as we measure in kg’s here. I need to lose weight for my own life enjoyment but also for health reasons… I want to loose at least 20kg. Having just gone over my 50’s and hit menopause, when all this becomes just that little more difficult. to complicate things I have had PCOS forever whic puts me at risk for diabetes in the future and my liver function results were recently those of someone with a serious alcohol problem but I have never drunk any.. my dr is not sure what is going on… am trying to utilise diet/exercise to get healthy… So I get it… maybe we can all encourage each other… hope you had a wonderful afternoon skeet shooting with your Sir. My husband has one more 6day shift, we have a nephew’s wedding and then we are going away to a nearby resort for 3nights in lieu of our 34th anniversary and St Valentines Day. I am looking forward to it so much! All the best!

WTG on the surprise weight loss 🙂 I know eating earlier is something that helps me…gives the body time to digest it before you go into the late evening ‘no activity’ phrase. I wish i could go back to the old days, where the main meal of the day was at lunch time. And do a snack for dinner. I’d see the pounds fall off then. But no doubt, i’d try do that and i’d end up with a full mean at lunch time, and do TOO MUCH snacking in the evening hehe

I use an app, free but same principle as weight watchers — tracking calories and fat you eat by entering everything in. Also, it gives you extra cals if you enter your exercise for the day. Even counts housecleaning 🙂 LOVE IT it’s called Lose It. Handy when you’re eating out, you can check how many cals are in meals from major restaurants.

@Kathleen_C – Congrats on restarting WW to both of you! I know when I first started it, and STUCK to it and counted my points, it did work for me. I got lax with everything that happened the past couple of months but I’m hoping by sticking to the plan, and rededicating myself to exercising regularly, I’ll get there.

@Missy – I’m sorry for your health issues! ((HUGS)) I have a history of cardiac disease in my family, so I know I need to stay on top of this. Plus with my fibro, I know in my head that it will, in the long run, decrease my bad pain, but it’s hard to convince my body of that right now. LOL

@Beth – We had a lot of fun! 🙂 And I know what you mean on the back issues. I blew the L4-L5 disk in 2000 and had surgery in Jan. of ’01 for it. It was miserable before I had that done, and my pain levels post-op were low once the surgical site healed.

@Jen B – Good luck to you, too!

@Vanessa – There’s actually a condition, and Sir’s doctors think He might have it, it’s actually a liver enzyme syndrom, it’s called something like non-chirrotic liver something or other, I think. Where the liver leaks enzymes, but it’s also combined with a few other signs. Apparently it’s something rather new that they’re finally identifying, so you might want to look into that.
