IMG_3477So nineteen years ago today, a really sweet and laid-back Buckeye guy married a really intense and stubborn native Floridian woman.

Somehow, they made it work.

And as far as I’m concerned, it’s working even better now than it did nineteen years ago. (And it was working pretty damn well back then, too.)

Thing is, he made the mistake of promising me a minimum of forty years, and that I got to determine when those forty years started. (Hint: I still say they haven’t started yet. HA!) And I plan to hold him to that promise.

So to The World’s Greatest Husband(TM), I love you more today than I did even back then. Thank you for standing by me through thick and thin, (and you get extra kudos for the “in sickness and in health” part, too, just sayin’) and you’re still my heart and soul. I couldn’t do this without you.

Nineteen years and counting…

Congratulations! There’s nothing quite like finding that person that makes you feel like a queen, even when things aren’t always perfect! 🙂

I just got my 40 years July 31. Congratulations and many more. The in sickness is the hard one. I don’t do sickness well for him, but he is excellent with me. Enjoy. Only gets better.

So happy for you both. Anybody who is married knows it isn’t always easy, but it sure is worth it when it does work. Many more wonderful years together.
