This is a little aside, but back in 2021 I saw people talking about the Loop Quiet ear plugs. Now, I have shooting muffs, and generic squishy ear plugs, and custom-molded shooting ear plugs. But ever since my ADHD and autism diagnoses, I realized that yes, audio processing issues are a THING for me. Not to mention I also have tinnitus. I have problems wearing in-the-ear ear buds for too long, and can’t use most over-the-ear noise-cancelling ear muffs. So in the past what I’ve done is used over-the-ear ear buds with the ear loops to hold them.

But I REALLY like the Loop Quiet ear plugs. They have the adjustable ear pieces (you can swap out the sizes) and they have others beside the Quiet line. The Quiet ear plugs reduce sounds up to 27 decibels.

But since going to karaoke all the time, I’ve been taking them with me and using them and OMG, what a difference. Not just there, but any time I’m in a noisy environment.

This is an Amazon affiliate link, but I use and recommend these ear plugs if you are like me and have trouble with noisy environments: https://amzn.to/40XctHk

How does a person know their ear canal size?

They come with the medium size installed. If they work, fine. Otherwise, they have three other sets in different sizes included in the package, so you just swap them out until you find what’s comfortable for you.

Says they can be used for sleeping and napping. Would they be comfortable enough side-sleeping?

They are soft, so probably? I don’t use them for that; I use a bluetooth headband that I connect to my phone and play the Calm app through.
