Happy anniversary to us, we are now the proud owners of a 32g iPad. I’m working on a comparison to it versus my small Toshiba laptop, Kindle, nook, and Sony reader.

I’ve heard a lot of negative things about the ipad. Please do a review once you figure out your new toy. I’ve been wrestling with the ipad or kindle for a while now!
I sure will. Right now I can see where nook and Kindle both have the advantage of simple drag and drop file transfers, where with the iPad you have to go through the iTunes interface to move stuff. To read .pdfs, you have to use the iBooks reader (it’ll also read unDRMd .epub files).
There is a third-party app to read .pdfs, but using it, the quality of the text isn’t as clear as just reading it through iBooks.
