But my newest release with BookStrand (writing under my real name, Lesli Richardson) is a contemporary romance called “Cross Country Chaos.”
This is a personal story for me. I’m the mother of a boy with spina bifida, and he’s a wheelchair athlete. A trip we took in the summer of 2007 inspired the idea behind “Cross Country Chaos.” It’s a book I’m proud of because it’s a real, funny, passionate, and honest book about relationships and what the true definition of “disabled” is.
Some romance books give disability a fluff or unrealistic or even a glancing treatment. In “Cross Country Chaos” you’ve got a hunky, sexy hero who’s hell on wheels (literally) and not afraid to fight for the woman he loves (literally).
