I am NOT rich. Just because I’m a “published author” doesn’t mean I’m making Stephen King money. (Don’t I wish!!) I know that readers who pay to buy my books and who give me word of mouth advertising by pimping me out are the people who pay my “salary,” so to speak.
Without you guys, I couldn’t do this for a living and pay my bills. I appreciate you more than you will ever know. I’m struggling to make a living just like anyone else out there. I also know you guys are people, too, and that you make a conscious choice when you buy my books to spend YOUR hard-earned money on them. So for that, THANK YOU.
Just wanted you all to know that most authors are like me, and we GREATLY appreciate you and the things you do for us by buying our books, talking about our work to others and writing reviews, all of that. Just because one writer is a diva who doesn’t apparently grasp the fact that it’s readers, NOT the publisher, who pay their salary, please don’t think we’re all like that. We get it, we understand, and we’re readers first.
I know I don’t always take the time out to specifically say THANK YOU, but I wanted to do it now. So…THANK YOU. 🙂 You allow me to work in a job that pays my bills, allows me to still work despite my fibromyalgia, CFS, and arthritis, and I can go most days without pants. LOL If it wasn’t for writing, I’d probably have to try to apply for disability for my health.
So…THANK YOU. I love you guys. <3 <3 <3
Namaste and Brightest Blessings,
Tymber.
You are SO welcome. I love the fact that you are approachable and connect with your readers.
I am truly thankful for your stories, and I’ve had some of my best book discussions with a dear friend of mine about ‘The Reluctant Dom’ and ‘Safe Harbor’. I say it to my girlfriends all the time that I’d love to see these and your others made into films. It’s about time we see films that reflect loving, alternative lifestyles, with kick ass heroines and awesome, sexy and sometimes nerdy heroes.
Best of Luck with all of your projects. Many Blessings to You 😉
I think it is super cool when an author will take the time out of their busy schedule to connect with their readers on a more personal level. It adds another dimension to the story when you know the person who wrote it doesn’t take you for granted as a reader. 🙂 Keep it coming, my kindle isn’t full yet! 🙂
@Dawn – Thank you!! 🙂 I try to keep up with everything, but yeah, I’m still shocked any author would treat their readers like that.
