I emailed Amazon this morning about the #kindlerank snafu, with some books taking enormous leaps and others losing their rankings altogether. Here’s the response I got:

We are aware of this issue and notified our technical team. They are actively working on take care of this issue for you. I just wanted to let you know that it should be fixed in the next 6-12 hours. In the meanwhile, I’ll follow up with our technical team and write back to you if I see any unforeseen delay.
