UPDATE: Registration closes Sunday, June 22, so if you’ve been holding off, it’s time to get your registration in.
If you have any questions about this, you can contact the event coordinators at:
Friends of mine who run the Florida Power Exchange contest are putting on a new series of seminars geared toward educating writers about BDSM. This is their very first event in that series, and it’s limited to only 50 attendees, so space is going quickly.
Dates: June 27-29, 2014. (Saturday is the actual workshop day, but there are get-togethers on Friday night and Sunday morning.)
Location: Tampa Bay area (exact location is private, and hotel info will be provided to registered attendees, rooms are around $119 a night) so you can price both Tampa International or St. Pete/Clearwater to see which is the cheaper airport to fly into.
Cost: $75 per person (does NOT include hotel, but does include meals and transportation from the hotel to the actual venue nearby)
Yes, if you wanted to bring a friend or your significant other, you can do that, as long as they pay the registration fee. The educators are people IN the BDSM lifestyle, people I and the event coordinators know personally, who will go through everything with the attendees from the psychology of the dynamics, to implements and techniques, in a safe, private environment. This is your chance, if you want to learn about BDSM first-hand, to do so with fellow writers.
No, you don’t have to be a writer to attend, but the purpose of this workshop is to basically be a safe, immersive learning experience where the attendees can ask all the questions they want while learning about the topics. They’re also planning some 201 kinds of workshops to cover edge play techniques.
