It’s not often that dreams come true in life. Today, one of those dreams was dropping not one, but TWO signed publishing contracts into the mail, one for BookStrand, one for Lyrical Press.

These two projects are dramatically different (one is a contemporary romance, the other a paranormal thriller) and are dear to my heart for different reasons. The contemporary romance is one I was beginning to think wouldn’t see the light of day, because the hero is in a wheelchair and I portray the story in a realistic way. As the mother of a child in a wheelchair, I have a different point of view on that than most writers. The other, the paranormal thriller, was one that started literally over twenty years when I was in high school as a creative writing project that received an A from the teacher. It’s a totally different story now, of course, than it was, but a few similarities remained, like character names and a spooky house. But it’s literally the teenage girl’s dream finally come true for the manuscript to see the light of day.

As I find out how much I can say and when about the details, I’ll keep everyone posted (believe me! *LOL*). In addition to working on the sequels to “Love & Brimstone,” I’ve got a three-book series in progress, and other manuscripts out in submission. Needless to say, I’m going to be kept very busy, between writing, editing, and promoting for the next few months.

I’m definitely NOT complaining! I’m still reeling from the comprehension that yes, I am a fiction novelist.

Feels gooooooooood!

Squeeeeeee!!!
